This year for Easter we were very busy.  We started the Easter holiday with church Thursday night for our Holy Thursday Communion Service.  Before we arrived Dave and I talked to the kids about Easter and communion.  We wanted to make sure they understood what we were celebrating.  When we got to church Pastor George ~our pastor~ was set up in the parlor to talk to all the children about Easter.  He explained everything to the kids and I was very pleased when we left because Tristan said to Dave and I, "we all ready knew all that because you told us."  Not to mention both of our kids were able to answer all the questions Pastor George asked them.  I was so proud.  After he explained everything we went into the sanctuary to receive communion.

Friday was Good Friday and we spent the day getting stuff together for the Easter weekend.  We did take a break to enjoy the weather and headed to the park with friends.

Saturday was our church's annual Easter Picnic.  It was SO much fun.  There was plenty of food, games and fellowship.  Gabriela, Tristan and I tried our hand at the hula hoop contest.  Gabriela was the only one who made it to the finals.  She actually made it to the second round of the finals...where she had to do two hoops.  We were so proud of her...and she definitely got the crowds attention.  After the picnic we headed over to my dad's house to spend time with family.  Of course my dad and Sue had a HUGE egg hunt for all the grandkids and a TON of food.  We ate WAY too much food but it sure was yummy!  


Sunday we went to church as usual and then we had my mom's side of the family over to celebrate.  Of course there was LOTS of food.  Then we had another egg hunt for the kids filled with confetti eggs.  They had so much fun!
