November

I am still trying to play catch up so here is a quick review of our November.

Gabby had a "show" for her gymnastics class.  I wouldn't really call it a show it was more of a what we are working on.  She is getting really close to her back walkover and that is her goal this year for gymnastics so we are hopefully she can get it.

Tristan failed to tell us about a fourth grade program until the day before the program and to our surprise he had a speaking part!  He did great!  It was a program that took you through the history of the USA through songs and a few narratives about the time period.  It was pretty cool.

We hosted our November Supper Club and rather than do a Thanksgiving theme we decided to do a Chili Cook-off and a Bake-off.  It was so fun to have a little friendly competition.  All of the chili was so good but there had to be a winner and Bob had the winning chili.  Lisa Welsh won for her yummy rum cake...still waiting on mine.  It was a great night with friends.

The day before Thanksgiving Break was Pioneer Day for Gabby at school.  I was so thankful I was able to volunteer.  They had so many fun activities for the kids.  They had butter making, soap making, quill writing,  games and more.  It was so fun to see all the kids dressed in their pioneer clothes.  

For Thanksgiving we heading to my brother and sister-in-laws house to celebrate with my mom's side of the family.  It was so nice to see everyone especially since my Tio Jerry has moved home from New Jersey.  We all had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving lunch.  

After Thanksgiving lunch at my brother's we headed over to my aunt Georgia's house to have Thanksgiving dinner.  It was so nice being able to catch up with my dad's side of the family.  We ate way too much for Thanksgiving but it was SO good.

We wrapped up November with our family picture.  I was so proud of the fact that we took our pictures for our cards on our own.  We didn't have to pay some expensive photographer...we just set up a tripod and the self timer and came up with some really nice pictures.  Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I know we have so much to be thankful for...we have been very blessed.
